TATTON YULE YOMP 2024 CANCELLED

We sadly have to break the news that this year’s Tatton Yule Yomp 10K has to be cancelled due to the very high winds forecast. We are so sorry to have to cancel as we know how much this 10k means to so many of you.

As you will be aware, this event is held inside Tatton Park and we work closely with the management team and rangers. The team at Tatton have just informed us of the following;

"Due to the high winds forecast this weekend, Tatton are closing the park on Saturday with a later opening currently scheduled on Sunday. This may be delayed further depending on conditions."

This sadly means we are unable to go ahead as the ranger team will still be carrying out safety checks throughout Sunday morning after the worst of the storm passes through on Saturday into Sunday morning with no guarantees on being able to allow the event to commence at any point.

Both National Trust and Run North West have a duty of care to you and we hope you appreciate why collectively we have had to make this difficult decision. Strong winds pose a real danger in woodland settings and some fatalities have occurred in these type of areas over the last few years due to falling trees.

We have explored all other options and have been unable to find an alternative, rescheduling this year is sadly not possible due to late permissions. We hope that giving notice today allows you to rearrange your weekend plans.

All participants have been emailed, please check your inbox and junk folders. We look forward to welcoming you to our 2025 event.

Thanks for your patience and understanding and wishing you all a very Merry Christmas.

Festive Wishes
Andrew & the Run North West Team
